The stable weather provides visitors with the ability to enjoy both summer and winter activities in one great location! A number of great beaches in an around the city provide great opportunities for surfing, sailing, and other water sports and activities.
In the winter, a number of nearby locations offer a convenient enjoyment of exciting skiing and snowboarding activities.
Halifax has a busy ocean front and downtown area. You can enjoy several local and international festivals throughout the year, visit live theatre (indoors and outdoors!), and listen to great music from around the world. You can also learn about art, history, and culture by visiting some of the various museums and galleries in the city.
If you like sports, then you'll have to watch the Halifax Mooseheads (Halifax's own professional Ice Hockey team) or the Halifax Rain (the city’s basketball team).
