At ILI we accept all students over the age of 16. We recomend that all students consider a homestay but homestays are mandatory for all students under the age of 19. This creates a stable environment for our young learners to live comfortably in Halifax. This also eases the transition for those students who are new to Canadian culture.

An agreement is signed by the student ,the host family and ILI so that all expectations are agreed upon to foster a healthy learning environment and a prosperous home life.
