STUDENT GUIDE FOR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION DIRECTLY TO ILI WITHOUT USING AN AGENT.
1 Fill out the On-line Application or download, print and fax back the pdf Application. Please note, the online application requires an e-mail account.

2 Complete the Application and click on the "Send registration" button at the bottom of the online form, or fax the paper form to us at +1-902-429-2900.
   
3 When ILI receives your application, we will send to you an email that contains the total amount of Fees for the period of your study. You must transfer this entire amount to ILI in order to receive your Letter of Acceptance (LOA). You can pay this fee by credit card (Visa or Master Card), or by bank transfer. (*fees subject to change without notice. Please visit the FEES web page for current fees.)
  • The application form gives you the choice of receiving your letter of acceptance by regular mail or by courier (FedEx). If you selected to receive your letter of acceptance by courier, then there is an extra CAD $80 courier fee. Please submit the courier fee with your application fee if you would like to receive your acceptance letter as quickly as possible.
  • If you are paying by bank transfer, please contact us for our bank information.
   
4 After ILI receives your application form and total fee, we will send to you a letter of Acceptance.
   
5 After you receive your letter of acceptance, apply for your authorization to enter Canada at the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your country. Visit the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Web site to find out what you need to enter Canada.
!! IMPORTANT !!
Paying your full program fees to ILI before applying for a visa can improve your chances of receiving authorization to enter Canada.
   
6 When you receive your authorization to enter Canada from the Embassy, confirm your arrival to ILI at least THREE WEEKS in advance. Please include the following:
  1. Date and time of arrival at the Halifax International Airport
  2. Airline and Flight Number
   
7  When ILI receives your arrival information, we will book your accommodations and send to you information about your host family if you applied for Homestay.

!! IMPORTANT !!
If ILI does not receive your arrival information 3 weeks before your scheduled start date, we will assume that you are canceling your registration. ILI will not arrange accommodation for you and will inform the Canadian authorities that you will not be attending ILI with your visa. This may result in denial of entry into Canada if you arrive at a Canadian airport.Your fees will be subject to the ILI Refund Policy .
   
8 When you arrive to Halifax, our friendly Host Family Coordinator will meet you at the airport and take you to your host family. We will see you at the ILI campus on the first Monday after you arrive, where you will begin your exciting English study experience at ILI!
